There will be thousands of discounts, including early deals leading up to Prime Day 2020.
After a quiet delay and then months of teasing and leaks, Amazon has finally announced when Prime Daywill be held this year.
Amazon confirmed to ZDNet that Prime Day 2020 begins Tuesday, Oct. 13. The event kicks off at 12am PT/3am ET and ends several hours later on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 11:59pm PT/ 2:59am ET.

Early Prime Day 2020 deals are available starting Monday, Sept. 28, with additional discounts leading up to Prime Day. From Oct. 6, you can save $40 on the Echo Show 5. Also, until Oct. 12, Amazon said it will offer a $10 credit to use on Prime Day when Prime members spend $10 on items sold by select small businesses.
Keep in mind Amazon postponed Prime Day 2020 by a few months due to the pandemic. It even told ZDNet that the sale will look different this year: “Out of respect, there won’t be as much of the traditional celebratory, confetti-filled experience on site.”
But Amazon also said it is hoping that Prime subscribers will still consider Prime Day 2020 a useful sale event — one that finds “positive ways to help” during these “unprecedented times, especially heading into the holidays and gift-giving.”
